Susanna Reid shuts down Prince Andrew discussion on Good Morning Britain

Susanna Reid had to step in and shut down an interview when two Good Morning Britain guests got into a debate over Prince Andrew. Lady Victoria Hervey and barrister Charlotte Proudman were discussing the disgraced royal, who has stepped back from royal duties after Virginia Giuffre's assault allegations, over which he went on to settle out of court. During the interview, Hervey defended the royal – who she was briefly romantically linked to in the 90s – and made unsubstantiated claims about the case.

SUSANNA REID: OK, Lady Victoria Hervey, that's enough. I'm sorry. I have to bring that to an end. You made some very serious allegations. The fact of the matter is, as our barrister here at the desk reminds everybody, there are convictions in this case.

SUSANNA REID: And we're not--

VICTORIA HERVEY: And there's a lot--

SUSANNA REID: We're not going to take issue with those. All right, thank you very much indeed.
