‘Tis the season to eat chocolate. Fa la la la la, la la la la. Yup, Easter is just around the corner (well, after Pancake Day…), and we're trying very, very hard not to lose our minds over all the exciting Easter egg launches going on right now.

And the one that’s caught our eye today is this insanely thick cookie dough egg from KitKat.

The KitKat Chunky Cookie Dough Easter Egg is just about the thickest Easter egg we’ve come across (well, apart from Cadbury’s White Chocolate Oreo Easter Egg, but more on that in a bit). It has to be that thick though, because there are lots of tasty chunks of cookie dough embedded in the chocolate.

We first came across this game-changing Easter egg when @helenjtea shared a bunch of photos and videos of it on Instagram.

She commented on the egg that “this egg had a definite hint of cookie dough to the flavour and a generous amount of mini fudge-like inclusions. Even better than the salted caramel fudge version available last year.”

She added that you can pick one up at Tesco stores now.

So, maybe cookie dough’s not your thing, and you’re more of a fan of white chocolate stuffed full of Oreo pieces.

In which case, check this out: Cadbury has launched this dreamy egg, and it’s almost too much.

We first spotted the Easter egg when @newfoodsuk shared a photo on Instagram, and we agree with the caption attached to the dreamy image – the thickness of that chocolate is outrageous.

According to the post, this insanely delicious Easter egg can be picked up at Tesco stores for just £3. That’s a hell of a lot of bang for your buck!
