Summersalt, the size inclusive and female-empowered swimwear brand, is on a mission to celebrate our bodies, our beauty, and our power.
On Wednesday, the brand released their annual "Every Body is a Summersalt Body" campaign featuring twenty-seven inspirational women advocating for body positivity and self-love. The women in the campaign represent a diverse group of entrepreneurs, activists and change-makers who are doing amazing things in the world today.
The women featured range from 18 to 63 years of age and include award-winning writer and activist Eli Erlick, dermatologist and founder of RVL Skincare Dr. Rita V. Linkner, and Special Olympics ambassador Lily D. Moore.
“This campaign embodies Summersalt’s mission in its entirety, and through this amazing group of accomplished women, we are striving to reach as many women as possible to inspire them to feel confident, proud, and accepting of their bodies,” Summersalt's CEO and Co-Founder Lori Coulter told Financial Post. “We are thrilled to champion strong women innovators leading the way in their respective careers.”
Fans immediately weighed in, praising the brand for their commitment to representing different body types.
"What an incredible and inspirational group of people. It makes me feel like I belong!" writes a fan on Instagram. "Thank you for helping me to accept my body."
"I love this diverse and inclusive message! I know where I'm ordering a bathing suit from this summer!" says another.
"Obsessed with this campaign. Everyone is glowing and so full of love," adds another.
Summersalt was co-founded in 2017 by Coulter and Reshma Chattaram Chamberlin, and has become known for its unique "data-focused fit system" and commitment to making comfortable suits for the everyday woman. Each item features four times the compression of an average suit to keep its shape for years to come and is available in sizes 2-22.
The beloved swimwear brand is also a celebrity favourite, with Jenna Dewan, Gigi Hadid and Priyanka Chopra sporting the company's signature looks. In 2020, Jennifer Garner was spotted wearing The Ruffle Oasis suit ($150 CAD/ $95 USD), a flirty one-piece with polka-dots and ruffled straps.
With more than 650 reviews, The Ruffle Oasis has earned a perfect 5-star rating for its "flattering and comfortable fit."
