Subway Has Launched A Vegan Pig In A Blanket Sub And It’s A Thing Of Beauty

Christmas is well and truly upon us, which means, it’s time to gobble down as much Christmas food as possible – especially pigs in blankets. And what’s better than a pig in a blanket? A plant in a blanket, that’s what!

Which leads us neatly on to the news that, after the huge success of its pig in a blanket sub – the Tiger Sub – Subway has launched a vegan version of its festive sandwich: the P.I.B. (Plants In Blanket).

Subway has spent months developing the fully plant-based P.I.B. Sub, which is packed with delicious flavour, just like the Tiger Pig.

It features smoky ‘bacon-like' notes and a sweet maple syrup glaze and is served with Heinz Tomato Ketchup. And remember, like all Subway subs, the P.I.B. is fully customisable and is available as a 6-inch sub, footlong, salad or a wrap.

The P.I.B. joins Subway’s other popular plant-based options, including the Meatless Meatball Marinara, T.L.C. (Tastes Like Chicken.), Plant Patty, Vegan CheeZe Toasted Bite, Potato Crispers, Hash Browns, Vegan Double Choc Cookie and a range of sauces including plant-based garlic aioli.

Alas, there is some bad news about the P.I.B. though. Subway’s latest vegan offering will only be available exclusively in-store for a limited time across the West Midlands, including Birmingham, Coventry and Wolverhampton, while stock last.
