Strongbow launches new rosé cider for spring

Strongbow has announced the release of a brand new flavour of cider in the lead-up to spring.

Strongbow Rosé, the latest edition of the cider, has been made using blush red apples, the company states.

Available from all major supermarkets and convenience stores from today, the beverage does not include any artificial sweeteners, flavours or colours and has been described by Strongbow as “the most successful recipe” it has ever trialled.

“We’re really excited about the latest edition to our range of refreshing ciders,” said Rachel Holms, brand director for Strongbow.

“Not only is Strongbow Rosé the most successful recipe we’ve ever tested, we’ve also got exciting launch plans this summer to make sure as many people as possible get to try it.”

The cider is on offer in a 500ml bottle for £1.50, a pack of four 440ml bottles for £5.15 and a pack of 10 440ml bottles for £12.

On Friday 28 February, it was reported that the company that owns Corona beer is facing its worst quarter in a decade amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Over the past two months, Anheuser-Busch In Bev – which owns globally-known beer brands including Budweiser, Stella Artois and Beck’s – suffered a $170m (£132m) loss in earnings in China.

The firm had expected strong sales in China at this time to coincide with the lunar new year.

More than 80,000 cases of coronavirus have been recorded worldwide, in addition to 2,700 fatalities caused by the virus.

There are currently 19 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UK.
