Strictly's Shirley Ballas shares her home hair dye disaster while presenting Morning Live
BBC's Morning Live is a daytime talk show that loves featuring Strictly Come Dancing stars and today (19 February), Head Judge Shirley Ballas pulled up a chair to present alongside Gethin Jones.
The show began with jokes about dance teacher Shirley whipping Gethin into shape and improving his posture, and conversation then turned to an area Shirley's not quite so experienced in.
During a segment with another Strictly star, Dianne Buswell, who used to work as a hairdresser before she became a full-time dancer, the group discussed hair disasters resulting from salons being closed.
Gethin asked Shirley if she's had any issues maintaining her hairstyle during lockdown, and she opened up about a story that had her taking a social media break.
"I tried to dye it. I had more dye all over the walls, in the sink," she said.
"Then I had this big black ring here," she added, gesturing to the sides of her face.
"I had to stay off social media for a few days. I looked like I had a cap on. It was everywhere but on my head - I still had the grey hair," she added.

Luckily, Dianne was on hand to share her top tips for avoiding such disasters in the future.
"Hair colouring can be very messy. I used to be asked if I was a mechanic when I was a hairdresser because I'd get hair colour everywhere," she said.
"If you've got someone at home with you, ask them to do the back because it's really hard to get to the back of your hair with hair colour. It ends up going everywhere."
Dianne also revealed a very handy hack for avoiding staining from hair dye.
"A little bit of Vaseline around the front of your hair can really stop that staining. A bit of vaseline then it washes off straight away."
We're sure that useful lockdown advice gets a 10 from Shirley!
Morning Live airs weekdays at 9.15am on BBC One.
