Year after year, Strictly Come Dancing contestants speak about how the show feels like one big happy family, with everyone supporting one another.
While we're sure the 2020 cast will be the same, the fighting talk has already begun between two of the celebrities taking part.
When asked about his biggest competition this year, 21-year-old singer and YouTube star, HRVY, said:
"I messaged Maisie [Smith] saying: 'I guess you’re my competition this year then?' Obviously everyone’s my competition but I saw her on the Children in Need special and she’s really good. I DM’d her and said it was very average just so she wasn’t too big headed about it!"
Clearly, the feeling's mutual, as 19-year-old EastEnders star Maisie has also cited HRVY as her competition in the show.
"I’ve spoken to HRVY actually, and he said he feels like he’s got a bit of competition and I said 'Ditto!' So, I feel he’s my biggest rival! I haven’t spoken to anyone yet but I’m looking forward to seeing them all soon," she said.
Not all of the contestants are quite so competitive, though.
Good Morning Britain broadcaster Ranvir Singh said she's "literally the least competitive person you’ve ever met".
"If I play Scrabble I’m like: 'Show me your letter and I'll help you get a really good word.' I literally want everyone to do really well for themselves. I think I'm starting to realise that I may not be the perfect candidate for Strictly!"
Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo said:
"To win it would be an absolute dream. It’s just such a privilege and it’s such a joy to be in the show, it’s this once in a lifetime thing. So for me, at the risk of sounding cheesy, I’m just genuinely happy to be there. Of course, I would love to last as long as I can."
We'll see more from the celebs and their competitive sides when Strictly begins airing later this month.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One from 17 October.
