Warning: Strictly Come Dancing spoilers ahead.

Fans of Strictly Come Dancing will have delighted in last weekend's show, with the Movie Week theme seeing couples take to the dance-floor as characters from some of our favourite films.

However, as another week of the competition came to an end, one couple had to face elimination, with Katie McGylnn being eliminated from the show alongside her dance partner, Gorka Marquez.

Post-elimination, Gorka shared an emotional tribute to Katie on social media platform, Instagram, alongside a picture of the couple from their most recent dance. In the sweet post, he said:

"THANK YOU!!! @katiexmcglynn thank you for the past 4 weeks. From day 1 i knew we were gonna get on and have fun!
You came to this Show without any dance experience but you were willing to give your best to learn and improve everyday.
You didn鈥檛 have the easiest ride but always came with a smile and giving 100% to everything I asked you to do in the rehearsals room, you always trusted me and believed in my work and for that, I thank you.

"Thanks for all the laughs and funny memories we shared over the last few weeks. If there was something we did all the time it was that鈥aughing.

"Today is the end of our Dance journey but not our friendship one (sorry you wont be able to get rid of me and Mia is still asking for you!) 馃お

"THANK YOU ONE MORE TIME.

"I am so PROUD of you. 鉂わ笍"

Katie replied in the comments: "Thank you for everything Gorks! I wouldn鈥檛 have it any other way 鉂わ笍 it鈥檚 been an absolute blast x"

Fans and celebrities alike commented on how great the pair were and how much they would miss them. Fellow dancer Katya Jones commented "So wonderful to see you create a friendship beyond dancing! 鉂わ笍"

Strictly Come Dancing will air again next weekend.
