Strictly's Giovanni Pernice's dance partners 'have proof' of their injuries

The case against Strictly Come Dancing's Giovanni Pernice is escalating, with reports suggesting his former partners have 'picture proof' of alleged training injuries.

There are fears that the BBC dance show may not bounce back from a dossier being compiled against the professional dancer. Giovanni has vehemently denied any allegations of misconduct and expressed surprise at claims about his 'intense training methods'.

Reports now suggest that those involved in the dispute are preparing to present a list of allegations to the BBC, including photographic evidence of training injuries.

According to The Sun, at least two of Giovanni's ex-dance partners are collaborating with renowned legal firm Carter Ruck, accusing him of 'brutal' teaching methods that left them 'black and blue.' They argue the injuries exceeded the 'occupational hazards' of dancing.

It's also claimed that Giovanni sent at least two of his former partners 'one or two deeply unpleasant messages', which they have retained.

As a legal battle appears imminent, it's reported that Giovanni, 33, - who has engaged his own legal team - will retaliate with audio transcripts of one of his partners apologising to him for their 'difficult' behaviour.

Despite the turbulent moment these women are facing, they are also getting enormous stick from Giovanni's loyal fans, claiming they are savagely out to end a man's career.

Giovanni, who is currently on holiday with model girlfriend Molly, has denied any allegations of misconduct.

In a statement released this week he said: "I am totally surprised and disappointed to learn of these allegations. I reject any suggestion of abusive or threatening behaviour, and I look forward to clearing my name.

"Those who have followed my journey on Strictly Come Dancing over the last decade will know that I am passionate and competitive. No one is more ambitious for my dance partners than me.

"I have always strived to help them be the very best dancers they can be. This has always come from a place of love and wanting to win - for me and my dance partners."

Chatting with fellow dancer Anton Du Beke, Giovanni expressed: 'It's a shame because, in my opinion, [Amanda] could have gone all the way. "Anton chimed in: "I thought you and Amanda were marvellous."

Anton has also shown his support for his friend, with the duo set to go on tour together next month. A source said that his show with Anton is definitely going ahead, even after what they described as a "really difficult time" for Giovanni.

The insider shared: "Gio has not been found guilty of anything, though he is the subject of much speculation. The back together tour will go ahead, and he and Anton will be standing up on stage together as they have done for many tours."
