Strictly's Aljaž Škorjanec sparks fears he's leaving show after losing dance-off

Aljaž Škorjanec sparked speculation he's leaving Strictly Come Dancing after he and Sara Davies were eliminated on Sunday.

Over the weekend, it was rumoured that the Slovenian professional, who has been on the show since 2013, would be leaving the series along with Oti Mabuse, who has already confirmed her exit.

And Aljaž seemingly confirmed the news when he heaped praise on Dragon's Den star Sara after they were eliminated following a dance-off against Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin.

"You have been an absolute joy. A testament to hard work. Thank you for letting me spend so much time, not just with you but with your family," he told Sara. "I've been so welcomed up north, it made me feel like I was back home in Slovenia actually because everyone was so lovely and friendly.

"I'm going to miss you so much, I'm going to miss dancing with you. I'm going to miss everything about this show. Thank you everyone, thank you for supporting us."

This year's series marks Aljaž's first without his wife Janette Manrara, who also joined in 2013 and quit the main show earlier this year to become the host of the spin-off It Takes Two.

Aljaž made no reference to the speculation when he wrote a post about his elimination after the results taping aired on Sunday.

"We have been having so much fun from day 1. It was such a joy to dance with you every single day for the last 10 weeks," he gushed. "You transformed yourself every single weekend into a beautiful dancer. A real testament to how working hard towards something, can make dreams come true. I LOVED every second of it! Thank you partner! @saradaviescc."
