Strictly stars reunite for Janette Manrara's baby shower
Strictly Come Dancing stars had a special reunion as they came together to celebrate Janette Manrara's baby shower.
Janette and Aljaž Škorjanec earlier this year announced that they were expecting a baby after they married in 2017, and they later revealed that they have chosen a name. As the birth date approaches, Janette was treated to a sweet baby shower by her Strictly pals.
Sara Davies took to Instagram to share the experience with fans, showing what looked like a very sweet day for all involved, particularly as the event was organised by Katya Jones and Ashley Roberts.
"So the reason I was on the train to London early this morning was because @katyajones and @iamashleyroberts were throwing a surprise baby shower for our lovely Janette!" Sara wrote in an Instagram story.
"It was just beautiful! @alijazskorjanec’s sister — @laralijubic flew over yesterday to get the room ready with all the fabulous balloons and decorations."
The day included a lovely surprise for Janette as her friends organised for her mother to be flown in to surprise her.
Sara explained in an Instagram story: "So she arrived and was thrilled and then we were all sitting watching videos from her family back in Miami when we cut from a video of her mom to her actual mom walking in (we’d flown her over as a massive surprise — and you can see it really was a total surprise!)."
Sara also documented some of the fun that was had at the party with her Instagram stories showing Katya, who she dubbed "organiser extraordinaire", playing "pin the dummy on the baby."
Meanwhile, Julien McDonald was also featured participating in an arts and crafts activity as part of the celebration. Later, Sara summarised the day with an Instagram post, writing: "Had the most wonderful afternoon! It was @jmanrara’s baby shower!"
"Huge thanks to @katyajones and @iamashleyroberts for organising everything and to @1warwicksoho for hosting us and @laraljubic for the beautiful decorations! The whole afternoon was perfect!"
Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
