Strictly Come Dancing's Nick Knowles has been hit with a disappointing prediction just hours before the glitzy BBC show kicks off. On Saturday evening, fans will tune in to see the celebs teaming up with their glam professional dance partners and hitting the floor for their very first twirls.

The much-anticipated celebrity line-up joining Nick includes comedian Chris McCausland, singer JB Gill, opera star Wynne Evans, rock icon Toyah Willcox, TV doctor Dr. Punam Krishan, model Tasha Ghouri, reality TV hunk Pete Wicks, actor Shayne Ward, comedy actress Sarah Hadland, EastEnders favourite Jamie Borthwick, Olympic swimmer Tom Dean MBE, Gladiators star Montell Douglas, former footballer Paul Merson and Olympian Sam Quek.

However, that hasn't stopped the bookies like getting in early with their predictions, chatting to Express.co.uk about those likely to waltz off first, and it seems DIY SOS presenter Nick could be in jeopardy, reports the Express.

Chad Yeomans from Betway said: "We can't split Nick Knowles, Paul Merson and Wynne Evans in the odds and make them all joint favourites at 4/1 to be first out of this year's Strictly competition." On the other hand, Sam, Shayne, and Tasha are being tipped as the least likely to be eliminated first. However, as fans know, nobody goes in the first week.

Nick, a seasoned TV presenter, expressed his excitement about participating in the show, saying: "I'm so, so excited to be doing Strictly this year. People may be more used to me getting stuck in on a building site or travelling the world, but dancing live on TV will be a whole new adventure."

"I've spent my whole life learning new skills and I've never been afraid of a challenge - there's life in the old dog yet to take on one more big one being taught how to dance! I'll give it my everything .... and try not to embarrass my kids of course!"

As the face of the BBC's BAFTA-winning DIY SOS for 24 years, Nick has also pursued his passion for travel, working with Channel 5 on various programmes such as Into the Grand Canyon, The Mighty Mississippi, and Nick Knowles in South America.

Throughout his two-decade-long career, Nick has presented a wide range of formats, including news, factual, travel, and entertainment, cementing his status as one of the UK's most recognizable TV personalities.

As well as a new host of celebs, we will also welcome back many of the pro dancer stars. Returning to grace the Strictly dance floor with their moves are pro dancers Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Jowita Przystal.

They will be joined by Johannes Radebe, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola. Excitingly, there's a familiar face making a comeback - Aljaz Skorjanec is returning as a pro after bowing out last year.
