Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two's Rylan Clark-Neal defends high scores on the show
Strictly Come Dancing is now over halfway through its run, and fans have been consistently impressed with the standard of dancing featured.
But some fans tweeted they weren't happy that judges had awarded 10s so early on, saying they should be saved for later in the competition.
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, It Takes Two host Rylan praised the quality of dance being shown this series.
"I do think there is less distraction this year when it comes to the celebs because the only thing they can do is rehearse and work," he said.
"We're not going for a drink or going out for dinner so everyone's focus is on that. This year, there's no distraction, you're on Strictly and you can't do anything else.
"I think the scores reflect that people have really really improved.
"Someone like Ranvir [Singh], she's really surprising a lot of people. She was good at the beginning but you can see how much she's improved and that's really reflected in her dance.
"It goes to show that all people are doing is rehearsing."
Rylan has teamed up with Amazon as part of its Black Friday Live line-up.
The series of celebrity events features a number of free virtual workshops run by stars including Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams.
Rylan explained: "One of the first things I realised is how many small businesses were trading through Amazon that I didn't know about.
"Don't get me wrong I've used Amazon for years and I love Amazon. I love that I can press a button and get something tomorrow and sometimes it does get a bad rep from people going 'oh it's a huge company and a big corporation'.
"But you forget so many small companies are using it now, and it's easier for them to do it through Amazon than selling things themselves.
"You can press a button on Amazon and search storefronts rather than entire sites, and storefronts is all the small businesses. It's so clever."
