Strictly Come Dancing fans 'a mess' after Chris McCausland's emotional finale confession
It is the Strictly Come Dancing final and many viewers are saying they are "a mess" and in tears after watching Chris McCausland perform his first dance of the night. Chris, who is a blind comedian, is partnered with Australian professional dancer Dianne Buswell and they have made it through to the final.
Their first dance, which was picked by the judges to be their couple's choice dance to Instant Karma! (We All Shine On) by John Lennon had judges Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse on their feet and earned them a score of 38. Motsi was left in floods of tears after the dance and many viewers at home felt the same, as they took to X.
One said: "Vote for Chris to win, the UK and the world needs a happy ending. I've been crying since the show started don't worry Motsi."Another added: "Like Motsi, I'm already a mess after that dance from Chris and Dianne #Strictly #StrictlyFinal".

A third said: "I am in tears again! Chris and Diane" and another added: "Sobbing. Just let me be. #StrictlyComeDancing #StrictlyFinal Chris and Dianne. Wow! @bbcstrictly." And: "Chris and Dianne are pure joy. My winners. #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing #StrictlyFinal."
After the performance, Chris said it was "overwhelming" to be in the final and before the final, said: “I feel like we’ve never stayed in the competition above anybody that got higher scores than us, so it feels like we’ve exceeded expectations and got here on our own merits, so we’ve succeeded above and beyond what we expected of ourselves.”
His partner Dianne agreed that they had not initially expected to reach the final, saying: “It’s the biggest surprise that we’ve made it all the way to the end. Reaching the final is the cherry on the cake.” For the latest TV & Showbiz news, sign up to our newsletter.
