The late Steve Irwin’s daughter Bindi gave birth to a baby girl on Thursday (25 March), which was also her first wedding anniversary with husband Chandler Powell.

Bindi announced the birth with a sweet photo on her Instagram earlier today (26 March) saying she was “celebrating the two loves of [her] life,” and added, “happy first wedding anniversary to my sweetheart husband and day of birth to our beautiful daughter.”

The couple have named their baby daughter Grace Warrior Irwin Powell. In the post, Bindi revealed that Warrior and Irwin were chosen in honour of Bindi’s late father.

“Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior,” she revealed.

Their daughter's first name Grace also has sentimental significance for the couple, as it's the name of relatives in both her and Chandler’s families.

Bindi said that Grace already takes after Chandler, with, “such a kind soul just like her dad.”

“There are no words to describe the infinite amount of love in our hearts for our sweet baby girl,” Bindi wrote, adding that the pair felt “tremendously blessed.”

In addition to the sweet image of the couple cradling their snoozing newborn, Bindi posted a second pic of a tiny baby grow and a wooden token.

On the token, Grace’s full name and birthday are listed, along with the time she was born (5.52pm), her weight (7bs 7oz) and her height (20 inches).

Huge congratulations to the happy couple!
