At Stella McCartney’s fashion show, the famously vegan designer sent 35 models down the catwalk in plaids, checks, and cruelty-free knitwear. There were also horse prints taken from George Stubbs, the famous 18th century British painter. And there were fingerless gloves built into the sleeves of McCartney’s finale dress, which made it look more like a superhero costume than evening wear.

The design details gave way McCartney’s finale, an a capella concert for guests like Salma Hayek and Pamela Anderson. Half the models sang “Faith” by George Michael. The other half belted the chorus of “Love Is All You Need,” by John Lennon and Paul McCartney (of course). And even Charlotte Casiraghti, the actual Princess of Monaco, clapped along.

The weird part: the models (mostly young girls walking their first big seasons) were surprisingly good performers, especially American teens Skylar Tartz, Abigail Leigh, and New York native Dillone, who’s “always dancing anyway—ever since I was a little kid.” (See her Instagram @_dilone for proof.)

After the show, model Lily Donaldson shielded herself from both rain and paparazzi. A catwalk staple several years ago, she’s since become a front row celeb thanks to her squad membership in the T-Swift’s opus “Bad Blood.” If McCartney’s cast of newbie models want similar fame, today’s song-and-dance show might be their first audition.
