Now that the first set of ‘air bridges’ from the UK have been revealed – meaning you can travel to a series of short-haul destinations that have been deemed low-risk for Covid-19 – a holiday to Greece this summer is back on the cards.

And where better to spend your time relaxing in the sun, than on the beautiful island of Mykonos, a whitewashed paradise in the heart of the Cyclades? Here you’ll find perfect, sandy beaches, the warm water of the Mediterranean and a new boutique hotel that will put you within easy distance of both.

From the Kensho Boutique Hotels & Villas collection comes Kensho Psarou, set on one of the island’s most-loved beaches. The stylish hotel is preparing to welcome guests again from 2 July, having implemented all the required hygiene and safety measures on its premises. The hotel has been imaginatively designed – a blend of Aegean architecture and locally sourced natural materials, including stone and aged wood – and you’ll find furniture from award-winning designers, such as Paola Navone, Tom Dixon and Patricia Urquiola.

For additional privacy, the 31 rooms offer guests the benefit of direct access, without having to go through communal spaces. All have their own outdoor hot tub or plunge pool, and there is also one private four-bedroom villa. There’s also a great eatery, Kensho Psarou Beach Restaurant & Bar, where the Mykonian chef Hippocrates Anagnostelis whips up incredible seafood dishes using the freshest ingredients.
