Does anything say Autumn quite like an iconic Pumpkin Spiced latte? For the past 18 years, Starbucks have been offering their trademark seasonal drink with various tweaks and updates to suit the times.
The instagram-able beverage is back again for Autumn 2021 and you can now customise your latte with the “original nut blend”.
In a release, Starbucks described the drink as combining, “the nostalgic flavours of Starbucks Espresso Roast, pumpkin pie flavoured sauce and steamed milk, topped with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spices – cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.”
In addition to the iconic hot drink, you can also get your hands on the “Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino Blended Beverage” with the option to swap in non-dairy milks and a vegan topping.
There’s even the Pumpkin Spice Cookie returning this year, plus a new S’mores Blondie Brownie and Almond Croissant available.
The limited-time range is available from tomorrow (2 September) in stores across the country as well as on Uber Eats and Just Eat (from 550 participating stores), so you can get a taste of the season from the comfort of your very own home. You can also order ahead using the Starbucks app.
The original Pumpkin Spiced latte has an RRP of £3.55, while the Frappuccino has an RRP of £3.65. You can get 25p off your beverage by bringing your own reusable cup.
The drink first hit stores in 2003 and has a number of incarnations over the years, “from the introduction of the vegan Pumpkin Spice Latte sauce in 2018 to the addition of Vegan Whipped Topping in 2020.”
Plus, there’s great news for plant-based fans, Starbucks is also launching a selection of new vegan and vegetarian food, from the Plant No’Meatball Marinara Wrap to Brie, Butternut and Chutney Focaccia.
You can also try a Mac & Cheese and Kale and Peas for other hearty, Autumnal treats without the meat.
