Standup Star Anjelah Johnson-Reyes Lists Sherman Oaks Home

Stand up star Anjelah Johnson-Reyes and Christian rapper Manwell Reyes hope to laugh their way to the bank when they sell their Craftsman-inspired contemporary home in a coveted neighborhood of L.A.’s proto-suburban Sherman Oaks community that’s now on the block at $3.1 million.

Johnson-Reyes, best known for her wicked hilarious impressions of manicurists, and Reyes, who headed up the disbanded hip hop band Group 1 Crew, acquired the almost 4,000-square-foot home a bit more than five years ago for a tetch more than $2.34 million, which means they stand to pocket about three-quarters-of-a-million bucks, not counting improvement expenses and real estate fees. The Porsche-driving pair briefly tried to sell the fastidiously maintained property over the summer of 2017 with a price tag pushing up on $2.7 million, but it seems that it was in their best financial interest to stay put a few more years and list the property at a substantially higher price.

A long driveway swoops up to the front of the fully updated four bedroom and 4.5-bathroom home that was originally built in the early 1960s on a hillside parcel of almost two-thirds-of-an-acre. Inside, open-plan living spaces feature dark, African mahogany floorboards, soft-white walls and a state-of-the-art home automation system that includes an impressive audio system with invisible surround-sound speakers in the family room.

The property is listed with Sahar Khedher at Keller Williams VIP Properties.
