Stalker jailed after sneaking into woman's home and stealing her underwear
A man who stalked his victim on Instagram before sneaking into her home and stealing her underwear has been jailed.
Islam Jaheed, 26, was arrested after using a key to access the victim’s flat in Nottingham while she was asleep on 3 March last year.
He fled the scene with her underwear after she woke up and started screaming.
Police caught Jaheed on the building’s CCTV and the victim told police he had been harassing her for months to go out with him but she repeatedly rejected his advances.

He threatened to post videos of them both and discovered where she was by tracking her Instagram updates.
Police discovered Jaheed, who also used the name Zaihid Alom, would continually send the victim disturbing messages.
On one occasion he even followed her to a town she was visiting hundreds of miles away before announcing he was there too on a Snapchat message.
The victim had been left petrified by his behaviour.
She had blocked him on various social media platforms but he had created other accounts begging her to speak to him.
When police searched his home in Mansfield, officers found six pairs of her underwear in his bedroom.
Jaheed admitted stalking at Nottingham Crown Court and was jailed for one year and four months on Wednesday.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £149.

Detective Sergeant David Beach, of Nottinghamshire's public protection team, said: "This has been a very long and traumatic road for the victim and I hope she will now be able to put it behind her, knowing her offender is behind bars.
"Stalking is a horrible crime, it can leave people feeling completely helpless and hugely impact on their lives.
"I'm just glad that we were able to prove what a serious incident this is and that this has been reflected in the sentence result given by the courts.
"We hope that this encourages other victims to come forward.
“This behaviour is completely unacceptable and we work to bring offenders to justice."
