Stacey Solomon's latest home DIY project may be her best yet

Pampas grass is having a moment in interiors, and one big fan of the trend is Stacey Solomon. Not only did she create her own vase out of an old laundry detergent bottle to display dried reeds in her bedroom, but she has now gone one step further by making her own pampas reed diffuser – and we love it!

Featuring dyed pink pampas reeds she bought off Amazon, Stacey's bargain home décor also utilises an old perfume bottle, some artificial flowers and diffuser oil, making it easy to recreate at home.

Sharing a step-by-step tutorial, Stacey explained that she first measured and cut the reeds, before placing some of IKEA's artificial flowers into the bottom of the perfume bottle, which she said was "harder than it looks". Once the artificial flowers were in position, Stacey added the reeds to complete her pretty decoration.

She also shared a great tip for anyone else who has bought pampas grass to display at home but found it doesn't look as fluffy as they would like – use a hairdryer on it! "It looks sooooo much fluffier now," Stacey captioned a photo of the finished result.

Want to try it for yourself? Stacey's dyed pink pampas reeds are available at Amazon for £14.99 for a pack of 30, while her artificial flowers are available at IKEA for 50 pence each.

Stacey loves creating new home décor from items that may have otherwise gone to waste, and her previous projects have included turning an old clothes hanger into a lamp, and even creating an ornament from an old cereal box. What will she come up with next?
