Watch: Stacey Solomon's son rushed to hospital following 'nightmare' accident
Stacey Solomon has opened up on her dramatic weekend that saw toddler son Rex rushed to hospital for stitches.
The Loose Women star, who announced her pregnancy last week, had spent a relaxing couple of days at a spa with her sister – but ended up in a medical drama when she returned home.
Youngest son Rex, 2, had a fall in the garden at home that Solomon described as a "nightmare" as she explained how the stitches he'd needed left fiance Joe Swash in tears.
Explaining what had happened to her fans on Instagram, she said: "We had a nightmare yesterday. Rex fell over in the garden and we were like, 'Up you get.' Then we looked and it was not an 'up you get' situation.
"He hurt his lip so we took him into A&E and he had some little butterfly strips put on."
She added: "I'm going back today to get him proper stitches, because it's in a really awkward place.
"But he was so good and he didn't make a sound. He was just like: 'Yeah, fix it,' to the doctor. But he was so good."
However, the TV personality revealed Swash had found things a little more difficult to handle.
She said: "Joe on the other hand..."
He then appeared, shaking his head as he said: "Honestly, when the kids are hurt I panic like nobody's business."
Solomon said: "He had to leave the room and he was crying. Bless your soul. I'll be looking after Joe today more than Rex – I love you."
Last week, Solomon, 31, announced that she is pregnant with her fourth child, and opened up about having had "quite a few" miscarriages while trying for a new baby.
She is already mum to Zachary, Leighton and Rex, and stepmum to Swash's son Harry.
The couple shared a video from their new baby's ultrasound, an emotional appointment where they discovered that Solomon was definitely pregnant and heard the baby's heartbeat.
