Stacey Solomon turned to organising after feeling 'out of control' as a teenage mother
Stacey Solomon has said her passion for organising was sparked from feeling a lack of control as a teenage mother.
The 31-year-old has reflected on how becoming a mum aged 18 to son Zachary impacted her life in her new book focused on decluttering tips and tricks, Tap to Tidy.
Solomon has said she felt like she had little control over her life at the time but that she was able focus on small bits of organisation.

In the guide, which is being serialised by the Daily Mail, she wrote: "At a young age — I was just 17 when I became pregnant — I became a mum myself.
"That meant there was me, my brother, my sister, my baby son, Zachary, and my mum all living in one small house, with no space to be messy.
"As such a young mum, I felt completely out of control and out of my depth. I had no idea what the hell I was doing; it felt like all my decisions had been made for me and there was nothing I could do about that.
"But there were small things that I could control, which might be, say, to make up the bottles, or to sort through the nappies and wet wipes. So, I focused on taking care of the little things."
Solomon found fame not long after welcoming Zachary as she auditioned for The X Factor at 19, eventually placing third with a successful TV career to follow.
She went on to have son Leighton, eight, with former partner Aaron Barham and welcomed son Rex, one, in 2019 with Joe Swash, to whom she is now engaged.

The mother-of-three has over four million on her Instagram were she regularly posts her tidying efforts and crafting ideas, the basis of her new book.
Despite having a loyal following Solomon has also be subjected to some trolling including one commenter recently who remarked that it “must be very sad having three different dads for your boys”.
However, she hit back as she said her children “are the best thing that ever happened to me”.
