Stacey Solomon is exhausted but ‘sad’ that her maternity leave is flying by
Stacey Solomon has opened up about the challenges of new motherhood, while also feeling “sad” that her maternity leave is going so fast.
The Loose Women panelist, who gave birth to daughter Rose just six weeks ago, opened up to her followers on Instagram while the pair had a cuddle in bed.
She began: “And we’re back in bed again. Shock horror. I am as tired as I look – I look like a small boy.
"I’ve just got no energy. I had so many plans for my maternity leave and can’t wait to get some energy back and do all the stuff I imagined we’d be doing.

Despite this, Solomon admitted she felt "sad" that the time was going by so quickly.
She said: "I feel a bit sad that it’s flying by and the days are so short and I’m not doing anything because I’m so tired.
"Sounds so silly, I know. I think it’s just because I’m more than halfway through and I’m feeling like I don’t want it to be over.''
However, in her upbeat style, she joked, ''Rose is like, 'I don’t care where we go as long as those boobs come with us'."
Solomon, who gave birth to Rose on her 32nd birthday, shares a two-year-old son with her fiance Joe Swash.
She also has two sons, 13-year-old Zachary and nine-year-old Leighton, from previous relationships, while she is also step-mum to Joe’s son Harry, 14.
A photograph shared to her Instagram profile on Sunday morning showed of all Joe’s children asleep in bed together with baby Rose and their two dogs.
The caption read: "Hello Sunday… I think I’m just going to squeeze in there with them for the day. But first I just had to stand over the top of you all like a weirdo and take a picture.
"These are my favourite memories… The room in the bed is a little bit smaller these days but our hearts are a whole lot bigger.
"It still doesn’t feel real that you’re here Rose. Happy Sunday everyone. I hope this makes you smile as much as it did me this morning."
