Stacey Solomon, 31, has put her wedding to Joe Swash on hold as she tries to get a licence so the pair can get married in the back garden of their new home.

The duo got engaged on Christmas Eve and Stacey has documented their recent move into a huge new house in Essex that they’ve named 'Pickle Cottage' as a nod to the nickname she calls her children. The house is their "forever home", after the couple spent ages house-hunting for a new place away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Stacey has been sharing the garden with her 4.3million Instagram followers and admitted the move had given her second thoughts about her wedding plans.

The Loose Women presenter told Cat Deeley on ITV’s Lorraine, “We had the venue and we didn’t know we were going to move here. We saw the house and thought, ‘Let’s go for it’.”

“Now we’re here, we’d actually like to get married in the garden. We’re trying to see if we can do that. We don’t know if we’ll be able to get a licence and stuff.”

She continued, “The wedding planning is a bit on halt at the moment. It’s all just come at once, so many of these things have been in the planning for years... I feel so lucky, privileged and grateful and I just think you have to take any opportunity when it comes.”

Stacey and Joe, 39, have a one-year old son Rex, and Stacey is also mum to Leighton and Zachary.
