Spouses of G7 leaders attend tea ceremony in Hiroshima

On the first day of the G7 summit in Japan, the world leaders’ spouses enjoyed a tea ceremony Yuko Kishida, spouse of the Japanese premier, hosted a tea party, with businesswoman Akshata Murty, who is the wife of UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and US first lady Jill Biden among the guests. The three-day G7 meeting will focus on Russia's war on Ukraine, expanding sanctions on Moscow and how to deal with a more assertive China and its claims over Taiwan.
