Southend’s annual Apple Day returns in month at historic orchard
Southend’s annual Apple Day returns next month at the historic St Laurence Orchard.
Mental health charity, Trust Links, are inviting people from across Southend and south Essex to join them for the annual Apple Day taking place at St Laurence Orchard on Saturday October 7, 11 am to 2 pm.
Trust Links Apple Day is a free event suitable for all ages, and takes place at St Laurence Orchard, Eastwoodbury Lane, Southend-on-Sea, SS2 6UY.
The family-friendly event offers the community a chance to explore the beautiful 100-year-old orchard, which boasts a variety of fruit trees, meadow area and an orchard trail.
In addition to exploring the orchard, attendees will enjoy tasty food, refreshments and take part in apple picking, and apple-themed activities.
Tracey Brownlow, who works at Trust Links and is helping to organise the event said: “Trust Links has been maintaining St Laurence Orchard for many years now, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to our annual Apple Day to celebrate all things apple! There will be food, refreshments, children’s activities, interesting stalls, a raffle and much more!”
