One South Carolina man has his eyes set on what he’ll spend his recent lottery winnings on: a new house.

A man residing in Midlands, S.C., bought a South Carolina Education Lottery $10 Shimmering Riches ticket at the Broad River Mart in Columbia. S.C., on Wednesday, Oct. 30, lottery officials said on Nov. 20.

But when he scratched off his ticket, he wasn’t expecting to score a prize of half a million dollars.

“When I look at my bank account, I can’t believe it,” he told South Carolina Education Lottery officials after cashing in the big win.

The lucky winner told the officials he plans to go house hunting with the winnings: “I’m trying to find a house.”

The winner will remain anonymous, as South Carolina is one of several states that allow lottery winners to remain anonymous, per The State. Residents in Arizona, Delaware, Georgia, Kansas, Maryland, New Jersey, North Dakota, Ohio, Texas and Virginia can also remain anonymous if they win the lottery.
