Sound the alarms, Margot Robbie got a blunt fringe and sandy faux-bob for the Oscars

The 2021 Academy Awards took place last night and, to be honest, I'm going to need some time to recover. Names were mispronounced. People failed to turn up to collect awards. Glenn Close twerked. It was a lot to absorb.

But do you know what made it all worthwhile (alongside the incred Nomadland getting so many wins this award season and Emerald Fennell winning Best Original Screenplay for Promising Young Woman)?

Margot Robbie's fringe. That's right. Margot Robbie took the plunge, after cycling through everything from strawberry blonde curls to caramel ombre hair, ginger hair and chunky highlights to her latest - a beauteous new lob.

Robbie looked glorious (as per) on the red carpet, after saying adieu to her iconic platinum locks (which, tbh sounded like a lot effort to maintain in hindsight).

Ahead of the occasion, hair stylist Bryce Scarlett chopped in a long blunt fringe (side-note: if my personal experience in long fringes tells me anything, that's going to need a trim in approx three days), and darkened her hair to a glorious dirty blonde semi-balayage, with lightness around her face, which deepened toward the crown.

Scarlett pulled her long hair (which we're guessing were extensions or hair pieces - or a case of lockdown miracle growth) into a low pony, creating the effect of a bob from the front.

MUA Patty Dubroff gave her a sunshine-inspired beat using a face full of Chanel, apparently relying 'heavily' on the Palette Essentielle in Caramel, saying “It's kind of like an everything palette—and that was what I used on her cheeks, as a bronzer, as a sneaky contour, and around her eyes..."

Seriously resisting the urge to DIY myself a similar look right now.
