Sonic Has 2 Iconic New Menu Items for a Limited Time
We've been waiting 20 years for this.
If you choose your fast food restaurant based on not only the food but also the beverages it offers, Sonic may be the place for you. The drive-in fast food chain where carhops bring the food to your parked car entices customers with new thirst-quenchers all the time, and those new drinks are often available for just a limited time.
A couple of months ago, Sonic fans saw Buttery Brew and Sparkling Sugar Cookie Dr Pepper hit the menu, tapping into the Dirty Soda trend. In the spring, it was a Blackout Slush Float, a cotton candy and dragon fruit flavored slush topped with soft serve and blue and purple sprinkles. All that to say, It’s clear that Sonic knows how to get creative with its bevies.
With that in mind, the chain is introducing two new drinks, and they had some help coming up with the flavors from a couple of old friends who lent their iconic names to the menu items.
Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie’s Sonic Drink Collab
It’s been more than 20 years since “The Simple Life” starring Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie—then known mostly because they were socialites with famous last names—first aired. The two became household names themselves, and on Dec. 12, their latest TV collab, “Paris & Nicole: The Encore,” begins their adventures anew.
The three-episode special series isn’t their only current collaboration, though. The BFFs have also teamed up with Sonic on two new drinks. Fitting since they tried to work at Sonic in the original series. In a promo, the two banter about some names for the menu items on the new “Sonic Icnonic Drinks by Paris & Nicole” menu. Cherry Glaminade, Celestial Berry Bliss, and Sliving the Dream were a few of their ideas, but they eventually landed on what they consider the most iconic names of all: Nicole and Paris.
“The Nicole” features Dr Pepper, sweet cream, vanilla flavor, and real strawberries, topped with whipped topping and more real strawberries.
“The Paris” features Sprite, dragon fruit flavor, and fresh lemon and lime, topped with whipped topping and Nerds Candy.
Like the new show “Paris & Nicole: The Encore,” these drinks won’t be around for a long time, so grab your velour tracksuit and head to Sonic. They’re available now for a limited time.
