Actress Sofia Vergara is candidly opening up about her recent divorce of late, and perhaps even manifesting her next partnership along the way. While the Modern Family star recently told Spanish-language newspaper El País the reasoning why she and her ex-husband, Magic Mike star Joe Manganiello, parted ways last fall, now she’s divulging what she’s looking for in a future romantic interest.

In a segment on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, the 51-year-old star of Netflix’s forthcoming Griselda series stated that her next partner can’t be more than two years younger than she is.

“To me, they can’t be younger than 50, I’m 51,” Vergara stated, before quickly adding, “O.K., 49.” Cohen, 55, quickly quipped, “Wow, I’m screwed by that rule.”

A clip of the conversation, which was shared by the late-night talk show’s official X (formerly known as Twitter) account, has racked up more than 24,000 views since it was posted on Jan. 24.

When Vergara spoke with El País, she shared that she and Manganiello, 47, divorced due to their differing views on having children.

“My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids and I didn’t want to be an old mom,” Vergara told the outlet. “I feel it’s not fair to the baby. I respect whoever does it, but that’s not for me anymore. I had a son at 19, who is now 32, and I’m ready to be a grandmother, not a mother.”
