Is it just us or does the LA dating scene feel ridiculously small? According to reports, recently single Sofia Richie and Kylie Jenner's ex Jaden Smith were spotted looking "very flirty" over the weekend.

Photos (via Mail Online) show the pair and a group of pals enjoying a day at the beach in Malibu on Saturday before they all headed along to celeb favourite, Nobu.

While there's nothing to suggest the pair are anything more than just good friends, an insider did tell E! News that they were looking very cosy during their day out.

"They spent the afternoon playing on the beach together with friends. But Sofia and Jaden only had eyes for each other," the source said. "They swam in the water together and wrapped their arms around each other. They held hands as they went in and out of the water and then they pulled each other in for a hug."

The source continued,"They were smiling at each other and very flirty the entire day. They seemed comfortable together."

And the fun didn't stop there, apparently, with the insider adding, "Sofia was in a great mood and never stopped smiling". They went on, "She seems to be having a lot of fun and is very happy. She and Jaden went back to a friend's house for the night."

It's no surprise they seem comfortable together as Sofia and Jaden go all the way back to 2012 when they began dating aged 14. Jaden of course later went on to date Kylie Jenner, while Sofia recently split from Kourtney Kardashian's ex Scott Disick.

See, what a tangled web these celebs weave!
Cosmopolitan has contacted reps for Sofia and Jaden for comment.
