A Hollyoaks star has gone Instagram official with his girlfriend after leaving the soap to embark on a very different career change. Billy Price, who was known for playing Sid Summer in the Channel 4 show, departed the soap in 2022 after three years on our screens.

Since stepping back from the show, Billy, 24, has moved into the world of business and has created his own brand. Ahead of kicking off 2025, the actor shared a series of snaps and clips from the past 12 months, including one of him cosying up to his new love Pearl while on a trip to Covent Garden.

Having first appeared on Hollyoaks in 2019, Billy took part in some high profile plots, including a drug dealing storyline. As part of the dramatic scenes, the TV star’s character had one of his legs amputated after being run over by Peri Lomax.

Back in 2022, Billy left the show and instead turned his attention to his own business, Pasii. The company sells items including socks and hoodies, with a pair of socks from the brand costing £9.99 without shipping.

While he may be going from success to success with his business, he hasn’t entirely left the world of acting and has appeared on BBC’s Doctors since stepping back from Hollyoaks. Elsewhere, prior to his time on the soap, Billy appeared in various theatre productions such as Peter Pan, Oliver!, Goodnight Mister Tom and To Kill a Mockingbird.

And although he may be known to viewers at home as Hollyoaks’ Sid, things could have taken a very different turn after Billy initially auditioned to EastEnders. Speaking on the Soap From The Box podcast, he explained how his role on Hollyoaks started out as a guest spot before it was extended to a more regular role.

“I think I was supposed to be in four or five episodes. To be honest, it was absolutely crazy. I did five episodes, then they said they needed me to do one or two more. So I went back and did those, so it ended up being about seven,” he said.

“Then when I went off, I actually auditioned for EastEnders. I auditioned for Bobby Beale. I've been for so many EastEnders auditions! They're so lovely over there.”

He added: “I've been up for Bobby Beale and Hunter. I actually got quite far down into those auditions. I got quite far into the Bobby Beale – I think there was three others left.”
