A woman with glowing skin believes she has found a trick to 'get the Botox look' without any needles, thanks to a natural method.

Many people spend years experimenting with different skincare products in search of the one that gives them the most radiant complexion. Skincare enthusiasts are bombarded with social media posts advising which products to purchase and techniques to use for a flawless look.

And while a lot of skincare products are hailed as 'the best', it's no secret that drinking a lot of water and eating nutrition-packed foods can help your skin look radiant. The NHS advises to stay hydrated and eat fresh foods that are low in sugar and carbs as well as rich in antioxidants and protein for good skin health.

Holistic healer Zara says that are several herbs and food that you should be taking if you want avoid wrinkles and tired looking skin. She said they will "give you the Botox look."

Berries

In a video shared on her TikTok page, Zara said that the first must on your list for smooth and tight skin is eating berries.

Zara, whose skin is glowing in the clip, explained: "Berries are high in antioxidants and flavonoids which is going to help rid the cells of free radicals. Not only that, but they are actually going to help bring oxidation and oxygen to the cells, because a lot of the time we are aging because we are not getting enough oxygen around ourselves or into ourselves.

"That is why we are aging and that is why we look like a dried up raisin."

Mushrooms

Mushrooms can help hydrate and brighten the skin, while reducing inflammation. Zara says that chaga and reishi mushrooms can help with anti-aging and "can give you the Botox looking effect".

Zara explained: "Chaga actually has a compound that's very similar to melanin so if you're someone that doesn't actually have melanin, like a lot of melanin in their skin, of you're just looking for something that's going to help protect your cells against periodicals, you need mushrooms."

Blue tea

Palo Azul is a tea made from the bark of the Palo Azul tree - also known as Kidney Wood. It is often used in Mexican medicine and is known for it's unique blue colour when brewed. It is often used in skincare products like serums and is packed with amino acids and antioxidants.

Zara said: "It's high in flavonoids and antioxidants, but not only that, it's amazing for the kidneys." According to Evergreen Herbs, the tea can also help with weight loss as it can aid digestion and increase metabolism.

The drink can also help flush out bacteria and toxins cause by urinary infections and kidney stones. An expert at Everygreen Herbs said: "This diuretic effect can help prevent kidney stones, reduce kidney infections, and lessen inflammation, leading to improved kidney function and urinary tract health."

Zara added: "The reason why we are aging is because we are holding onto too much waste – this is the perfect detox that's going to help get rid of the toxins through urination." "It has high antioxidants so it's going to help with aging," she added.

Of course, these foods will not give you the same effect as surgical procedures, but they can go a long way to helping achieve a more glowing appearance without expensive and invasive cosmetic procedures.
