The Green Bay Packers didn’t get the outcome that they wanted on Saturday night, as the team fell to the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs, 24-21. But if we had to point to one silver lining from the night game—for the Packers, that is—it would have to be Simone Biles’s incredible style.
The Olympic gymnast stepped out of her leotard for the evening and into an aptly Jonathan Owens-themed outfit in support of her husband, who plays safety for the Packers. To a pair of dark wash denim, she added a black bodysuit with Owens’s number, 34, stitched in green-and-yellow on the front. On top, she wore a black silky cropped jacket with her hubby’s name and number scrawled on the back and “Green Bay” stitched onto the sleeve.
“football is for the girls 🏈,” Biles captioned a carousel that she shared to Instagram from the evening. The series included a couple snaps of her outfit as well as a photo of the gymnast on the sidelines alongside two fellow Green Bay supporters.
Her outfit wasn’t over the top by any means, as it was a perfectly simple style with enough Green Bay gear to show her support for her husband and the rest of the squad. Though the team didn’t get the win that they wanted, Biles certainly gets an award in our book for the great outfit choice. We’ll spend the next several months awaiting the return of her sidelines style.
