Sienna Miller has welcomed her second child
Congratulations are in order for Sienna Miller and her boyfriend Oli Green, who have welcomed their first baby together – a second child for the actress.
In images obtained by the Mail Online, the 42-year-old is seen walking in west London with Green, 27 and their new arrival, a daughter, who she is holding in a baby carrier.
The Alfie star first became a mum a decade ago, to daughter Marlowe, whom she shares with actor Tom Sturridge, 38.
Miller revealed that her baby was a girl in an interview with Vogue last year. She also shared her thoughts on responses to her welcoming a new arrival in her forties, saying: ‘I’d love to get to a point where I didn’t feel the need to make a joke of my being older and having a baby, to show I’m in on the joke.’
She also told the publication that the pregnancy was ‘unplanned’ and ‘a total surprise and biologically was something I was able to do.’
‘I think people are comfortable with a way of living that has existed for many years, which is very misogynistic and patriarchal,’ she added. ‘Like me being the older woman in a partnership with a younger person or being pregnant over 40 and that that's irresponsible and poor child and it's such double standards.’
It was first speculated that Miller was pregnant when bikini-clad paparazzi photos emerged of the star on holiday in Ibiza, with an apparent bump visible. The star then went public with the news on the red carpet last year, in an outfit which showed her bump in all its glory.
The year she turned 40, Miller spoke to Elle about she felt pressure in her thirties around: ‘..kids, and should I have more, and why haven’t I, and all of that, which is a really loud noise. Biology is incredibly cruel on women in that decade – that’s the headline, or it certainly was for me.
‘Then I got to 40 and I froze some eggs. Having been really focused on the need to have another baby, I’m just like, if it happens, it happens. That kind of existential threat has dissipated.’
