With Oxfam's Secondhand September well underway, designer resale site Vestiaire Collective is getting on board the charitable project by launching a very exciting drop of luxury items once owned by the likes of Kate Moss, Naomie Harris, Michaela Cole and Chloe Sevigny.

The designer sale – which features pieces such as Moss' YSL blazer and Cole's Burberry trench coat – will be available to buy from the secondhand site from today. The pieces are all pre-owned and go to supporting Oxfam's Secondhand September campaign, an initiative which encourages consumers to pledge to shop only secondhand for 30 days of more.

"Over 11 million pieces of clothing end up in landfill every week," Vestiaire said in a released statement. "Now, more than ever, we must question the way we enjoy fashion. You don’t always need to buy new on-trend pieces to enjoy the creativity of fashion."

All money raised from the sale will go towards Oxfam, a charity that is helping to fight poverty around the world.

"While the pandemic has brought suffering and loss to many, it has also provided opportunities to break old habits and build a fairer and more sustainable future," Fee Gilfeather, Oxfam’s sustainability expert said, explaining why there is no better time than now to support the cause.

"We’re so grateful to the Vestiaire Collective for the support. By shopping secondhand, you’ll be helping Oxfam to beat poverty around the world, as well as saving the planet. You’ll be reinvesting in projects that include helping people to build livelihoods in places like Bangladesh – a country that has been largely affected by the economic fallout of the retail industry during this pandemic."
