Strictly judge Shirley Ballas has shared she and boyfriend Daniel Taylor could get engaged next year, and she could be the one to pop the question.

The 60-year-old also added that if they did end up tying the knot, she would include Strictly dancers Giovanni Pernice, Gorka Marquez and Johannes Radebe in her bridal party.

“Maybe next year is on the cards, possibly," she told Mail Online.

“For my bridesmaids it would be my gaggle of gays, Alan and Nathan from America, I am already thinking about that.

“It wouldn’t be straightforward, it would have a twist in it. Johannes, Gorka and Giovanni could be bridesmaids too. That could be fun.”

Ballas began dating the Taylor, 48, last year after working together in a staging of a Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime together in Liverpool.

She has been married twice before, first to her former dance partner Sammy Stopford between 1980 and 1984 and then to second husband, Texan ballroom pro Corky Ballas between 1985 and 2007. The couple have one son Mark, 34.

On whether she would consider proposing to the actor herself, she divulged: "I don't know, we have mentioned it once or twice."

Ballas has previously addressed the 12-year age gap between herself and Taylor, noting her disdain for him being described as a "toy boy".

She shared to Saga magazine last year: "It makes me cross when he is described as a toy boy. He is a 47-year-old grown man who can make his own choices. He is not 18. You can have a man who is 25 years older than his girlfriend and no one says anything."
