Actress and Bioré ambassador Shay Mitchell is in the middle of a Snapchat controversy, and commenters seem to agree the Pretty Little Liars star tried to dupe viewers with her latest sponsored post.

Mitchell used Snapchat to share her favorite makeup remover by the drugstore brand with followers this week. “I have obviously tried my fair share of makeup removers, but these are by far my favorite,” she says. In the next clip, she demonstrates how she uses the product, appearing to wipe one eye to remove her makeup, which she says includes waterproof mascara. “It leaves my skin feeling so fresh,” she gushes.

However, one follower took to Twitter to call out Mitchell for faking the whole video. “She ain’t even actually rub her eye I’m crying,” wrote user ohjlizzle alongside the Snapchat clip which has amassed over 5.3 million views. Of course, the puns and reactions aplenty followed. “SHES A PRETTY LITTLE LIAR,” jokes one user. The reactions to the video range from unimpressed to disappointed — and one user even spoofed Mitchell’s video. “Why is she reviewing a skincare product with a Snapchat filter on,” asks one user, while another calls the clip “so cringe.” One user went so far as to spoof Mitchell’s video, joking with a dirty cotton swap that “New York City tap water” “removed” her makeup, which didn’t budge from her face.

Jokes aside, one Twitter user called out Mitchell for pretending to use a product, fueling speculation that a lot of beauty sponsorships are disingenuous. MamaChele727 writes, “Given what’s been going on in the beauty community lately these “gurus” should be working extra hard to show that they aren’t faking anything. When they pretend to use a product it just adds to the doubts that are already in the community.”
