Over the past 70 years, countless celebrities have had the fortune to meet Queen Elizabeth. Several state events, public appearances and even fashion shows have been the places where the British monarch has shaken hands with some of the world's biggest stars. In 2018 Her Majesty sat next to the well-renowned editor Anna Wintour during London’s Fashion Week. During the event, Queen Elizabeth looked fabulous next to the Vogue queen, as the pair exchanged some laughs while sitting in the front row of Richard Quinn’s show.

In 2016 the former President of the United States Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama visited Windsor Castle during Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday celebrations. They even gave her a present! Her Majesty got a gorgeous box with a series of pictures of herself during her visits to the United States, where she met with various former Presidents and First Ladies.

‘Mr. And Mrs. Smith’ actress Angelina Jolie did not only meet Queen Elizabeth, but she received an honorary damehood from the monarch in 2014. According to different outlets including People and Vanity Fair, the film star has built a close relationship with the Queen of England ever since through her campaigning to support refugees.

In 2014 the ‘Hamlet’ actress visited Buckingham Palace and met Queen Elizabeth during a reception for the Dramatic Arts. Helena Bonham Carter played the monarch's mother Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother on screen in the 2010 film ‘The King’s Speech’.

In 2013 the ‘Theory of Everything’ actor and Tom Hooper, who directed the 2010 film ‘The King’s Speech’, joined a British Film Industry event at Windsor Castle. There, they met Queen Elizabeth and spent a couple of minutes in conversation with her.

In 2012 actors Rowan Atkinson and Gillian Anderson, known for ‘Mr. Bean’ and ‘The X-Files’, respectively, met Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace. It happened at an event to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens.
