Sheridan Smith has deleted her social media accounts after receiving "shocking news".
The 39-year-old actress posted a cryptic message that worried her fans and followers, and shortly after, she deleted both her Instagram and Twitter accounts.
"Just had the most shocking news, don’t let people get you down. We are here for a short time people, please be kind x," Sheridan wrote, alongside a snap of her standing by a window in the sunshine.
The star, who became a mum last year after giving birth to son Billy, was also reportedly due to present at the BRIT Awards last week, but pulled out at the last minute, before leaving the ceremony an hour early.
According to editors at the Metro, Sheridan had been asked to present the Best British Group award alongside her Starstruck co-stars Olly Murs and Adam Lambert, but instead wanted to keep a low profile.
The Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps star also previously spoke about her concerns over social media, and said she fears her son will grow up around online trolling.
During an interview with Lorraine Kelly on her podcast Sheridan's Showstoppers earlier this month, the Gavin & Stacey star said: "It's hard now. I'm scared for my son. I never had the trolls when I was first starting out. I still find it hard to kind of see it and I have to delete my apps."
