Even though celebrities mix up their hair for photoshoots and red carpets so often, there are a handful who have their go-to signature look. Take Shay Mitchell. Ever since appearing on our screens as Emily Fields in Pretty Little Liars all the way back in 2010 (can you believe it’s been nearly 12 years??), the actor has rocked long, dark hair.

Sure, she has mixed it up over the years but it’s often down to help from extensions, wigs or clever hair tricks. Like the time she posted an Instagram pic with a wispy side fringe but her bangs were actually the ends of her long hair.

But now, Shay has posted a TikTok in which she’s rocking a chic blunt bob and it has left us scratching our heads, tbh.

In the video, Shay has her signature long hair. She then yanks on it and suddenly she has the bob, complete with a full fringe and styled with a trendy wet look.

In fact, the look reminded us of the wet-look bob that J-Lo rocked for the 2020 American Music Awards.

Of course, Shay’s TikTok was inundated with comments from fans praising her new look. However, things might not be what they seem.

Shay has only posted the video on TikTok and is yet to do any kind of hair reveal on Instagram, so we’re not entirely sure whether her new look is actually a wig.

Also, when people do this transition, they usually hold their cut hair in their hands, whereas Shay’s is nowhere to be seen. Maybe because it hasn’t actually been cut and is nestled under a cap?

We’ll be refreshing her social media feeds by the minute until we get an update…
