We love a good budget beauty buy on the Telegraph beauty desk, and when it comes with the Sharon Stone seal of approval? Even better. Earlier this week she posted a picture in her bathroom having just had her hair done. But a quick zoom into the image revealed two products, both under £10, which have made it into Stone’s daily skincare routine.

The first is Weleda’s Skin Food moisturiser, which costs from £8.25. The brand turned 100 years this year and the iconic Skin Food is the brand’s most-loved product - and for good reason. It’s got a thick, rich texture that soothes even the driest complexions, and the plant-based formula is fantastic for sensitive skin types, too.

Skin Food is often used backstage at fashion shows to provide a great canvas for make-up. As far as day cream options go, it has a very luxurious feel at an affordable price. And if Sharon Stone uses it, with her glowing, hydrated complexion, we need it, too.

The second product wouldn’t look amiss from your grandmother’s dressing table: the iconic cerulean blue pot of Nivea’s best-selling original cream, which has been around since 1911. Described as an ‘all purpose body cream for face, hands and body,’ you can get a big pot of the glycerin and panthenol-packed cream for under a fiver.

I’m sure we weren’t the only ones of Sharon Stone’s 2.5million followers who zoomed into her bathroom products. Over the past few years the 63 year old actress has become something of an accidental social media influencer. If you haven’t seen her Instagram page, it’s worth a look - even just for her irreverent style and honest, unretouched, unedited posts. And now her beauty favourites, too.
