Prince Harry has confirmed all the stories about him being the bad boy of the British royal family in his new memoirs 'Spare'. In the tell-all tome, the party prince has confessed to experimenting with a variety of drugs, indulging in al fresco romps and sinking plenty of booze. These are the wild antics of the Buckingham Palace bad boy...

Harry was certainly no Prince Charming as his version of a fairy tale went more like once upon a line not once upon a time. Harry admitted to trying the illicit white substance to cope with the grief that never left him following the death of his mother Princess Diana - who was killed in a fatal car crash back in 1997 when he was just 12. Harry first tried cocaine at 17. He wrote: "Of course, I had been taking coke at that time. At someone's house, during a hunting weekend, I was offered a line, and since then, I had consumed some more. "It wasn't very fun, and it didn't make me feel especially happy as seems to happen to others, but it did make me feel different, and that was my main objective." "To feel. To be different. I was a 17 year old willing to try almost anything that would alter the pre-established order. "At least, that's what I was trying to convince myself of."

The Duke of Sussex was 17 when his father King Charles took him for a visit at a rehab center to try and show him the dangers of taking drugs. In 2002, Charles took Harry to the Featherstone Lodge in South East London and during his visit he shared his own drug experiences. User Paul Smith was present that day and has shared his memories of the moment. Paul said: “I think Charles wanted him to be alone and talk to real addicts about how bad drugs are. “He did not even have his security people in the room at the time. I said my name was Paul and I explained my situation. “I told him that he did not want to end up in a place like this. He talked about taking marijuana, ‘Temple Balls’ and cocaine. “He also talked about Ketamine. I was like, ‘Oh my God’ – I told him he needed to rein it in. “But when all the drug taking stuff came out this week from his book I was shocked. I don’t know why he decided to announce it all now. He said he felt very bad after taking the drugs.”

In ‘Spare’ Harry spilled that he once “gobbled” magic mushroom chocolates whilst staying at 'Friends' actress Courtney Cox's house. He said: “Beside the toilet was a round silver bin, the kind with a foot pedal to open the lid. I stared at the bin. It stared back. Then it became... a head. “I stepped on the pedal and the head opened its mouth. A huge open grin. “I laughed, turned away, took a p***. Now the loo became a head too. “The bowl was its gaping maw, the hinges of the seat were its piercing silver eyes. It said, ‘Aaah.'"

Taking the title of His Royal HIGH-ness literally, Prince Harry opened up about how he started smoking marijuana from the age of 16. Harry confessed that whilst he was at Eton he once got so stoned he had a conversation with a fox from the window of a bathroom. Harry remains an occasional pothead after admitting that he smoked a joint whilst watching Disney films after his first date with Meghan Markle and continued to spark spliffs even after his son Archie was born. He said: "Late at night, with everyone asleep, I'd walk the house, checking the doors and windows. Then I'd sit on the balcony or the edge of the garden and roll a joint. The house looked down onto a valley, across a hillside thick with frogs. I’d listen to their late-night song, smell the scented air."

Back in 2005, the Duke of Sussex was pictured wearing a Nazi officer’s uniform with a swastika emblazoned on a red armband to a ‘Native and Colonial’ costume party which saw him at the centre of a scandal. This happened just weeks before Queen Elizabeth II was due to lead a holocaust memorial service. At the time Prince Harry was sorry for causing offence and embarrassment and apologised for his poor choice of costume. Now, however, Harry claims his brother William and his wife Catherine told him to wear the controversial costume and “howled” with laughter at the thought. Harry recalled: "I phoned Willy and Kate, asked what they thought. Nazi uniform, they said. "Worse than Willy’s leotard outfit! Way more ridiculous! Which, again, was the point.”

Harry left nothing to the imagination in 2012 after putting his crown jewels on display during a trip to Las Vegas. Snaps of the cheeky prince exposed his wild weekend away where he took part in a game of strip billiards. Harry admitted being so wasted on Bloody Mary cocktails at the time he tried getting a tattoo of Botswana on his foot and was stopped by his friends who “promised to hold me down, knock me out, whatever it took".

In another extract from 'Spare', Harry recalls how he lost his virginity at 17 during an “inglorious episode with an older woman”. The raunchy royal detailed how the woman, who loved horses, rode him like a “young stallion” in a grassy field behind a pub. He said: “She liked horses, quite a lot, and treated me unlike a young stallion. Quick ride, after which she smacked my rump and sent me to grace. “Among the many things about it that were wrong. It happened in a grassy field behind a busy pub.”

Prince Harry’s longest relationship remains with ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy whom he started dating during his gap year in 2004 after meeting in Cape Town. The pair were in an on/off relationship before officially announcing they had split in May 2010. Harry had multiple flings and was linked to a string of high profile celebs before settling down with wife Meghan Markle. Harry dated the late ‘Love Island’ host Caroline Flack in 2009 before Flack ended it due to the constant media attention and being known as ‘Harry’s bit of rough’. Another one of Harry’s exes includes Saturdays singer Mollie King, who confessed to dating the royal after meeting him at the Asprey World Class Cup at Surrey Hurtwood Polo Club back in July 2010. However, Harry called it quits as Mollie was too open about their relationship. Pop star Ellie Goulding was once rumoured to be in a relationship with the prince after the pair were spotted canoodling at the Audio Polo Challenge back in 2014. The ‘Love Me Like You Do’ singer went red after she was probed to confirm the rumours during an interview.

Since his mother’s death, which he blames on paparazzi for chasing the car Diana was travelling in and causing the driver to speed and lose control of the vehicle, Harry has a hatred of the British Press, despite evidence proving driver Henri Paul was three times over the legal drink-drive limit in France. Back in 2004, Harry ended up in a scuffle outside a London nightclub with paparazzi after Harry was hit in the face with a camera. The photographer was then seen running away from a lunging Harry who pushed the snapper to the ground.

Harry and actress Meghan Markle began dating in 2016 and their went on to marry in a fairy tale ceremony in 2018. At the beginning of 2020, Harry and Meghan announced they’d be “stepping down” as senior members of the royal family and moving to the US. Harry has credited Meghan with changing his life and inspiring him to end his partying ways. In an interview on '60 Minutes', he said: "Numerous people [were] like, ‘He’s changed, she must be a witch. He’s changed.' "As opposed to, ‘Yeah, I did change, and I’m really glad I changed.’" Recalling how Meghan changed him, he added: "Rather than getting drunk, falling out of clubs, taking drugs, I’ve now found the love of my life. And I now have the opportunity to start a family with her.”
