Severe Flooding Causes Deaths in Sardinia, Italy

At least three people were killed and two others were missing after heavy rain caused severe flooding in Sardinia, Italy, on November 28, local media reported.

This footage was captured by Vigili del Fuoco, Italy’s fire and rescue service, who said it was filmed in Bitti. The fire service said it recovered the body of a man whose car was overcome with water, as well as the body of a 90-year-old whose home was hit by the rivers of mud caused by the flooding.

The fire service reported the severe flooding also collapsed a bridge between Osidda and Bitti.

Officials issued a red alert for the island and urged residents to take precautions as thunderstorms were expected to persist until early Sunday morning.
