Want to know what's in store for your star sign for September 2022? It's all in the cards...

ARIES

(Eight of Cups, Strength, Two of Swords)

There is an element of ~wallowing~ going on right now, with the disappointed Eight of Cups. Things did not pan out as hoped and though you’re not quite ready to publicly admit that, you’re privately dwelling on it. Enough of this, Aries, the ‘Self Pity Party’ ends now. Strength shows there are lessons to be learned here, and that you will actually come out of this better off than you think right now. This needed to happen this way because this lost opportunity was not ~the one~. The Two of Swords urges you to shake yourself up, dust yourself down, look on the bright side, and forge ahead once more. The best is ALL yet to come, this was all just preparation.

TAURUS

(Two of Wands, Knight of Wands, Queen of Swords)

Part of learning to be independent and self reliant (with the dynamic Queen of Swords) is learning to take risks and even enjoy them a lil’ bit (with the chance-y Knight of Wands). If you don’t push yourself out of your comfort zone, and take a gamble on your strengths and potential, then who will?

The Two of Wands sees you feeling a little ambivalent about your opportunities atm. It’s time to play that risky hand, make that bold leap, wake yourself up with a dangerous move. You can handle it. You are learning to look after yourself better than ever and this is a great test. Go pass it with flying colours.

GEMINI

(The Hierophant, Six of Cups, The Wheel of Fortune)

Back in the day there was something you belonged to (Brownies, swim class, the cricket team...) that really made you feel proud and valued. The Six of Cups and The Hierophant combine to bring this nostalgic membership back to mind this month. You remember it all. You recall the friends you made (you might even look them up) and you wonder if this is something missing in your life right now. What do you ~belong~ to?

We have so many activities as kids, and then we kinda drop them. The Wheel of Fortune asks you to make a change here, re-introduce some hobbies, clubs, memberships, group activities. You love this kinda thing. Be a kid again.

CANCER

(Knight of Swords, Ten of Coins, Page of Wands)

In order to establish your future security (there’s your favourite word, Cancer: security) with the wealthy, safe Ten of Coins, you need to push yourself forward a little (with the assertive Knight of Swords) and maybe even take on an apprentice or student type of role (with the studious Page of Wands). You might realise you’re a bit of a novice when it comes to money management and wealth creation, and this area of life is very much under your microscope right now. You need some professional advice, maybe a mentor or coach, certainly some help in figuring out how to minimise your outgoings and maximise your outgoings.

Don’t be proud, take a humble and novice viewpoint to your status and level of knowledge and seek to build your confidence and abilities by taking on information, advice and input. Speak to people you know have a head start here or love this topic. Read up on advice. Pick out a few influencers or speakers who make sense to you. Get control of this area of your life this month.

LEO

(The Chariot, Seven of Wands, The Moon)

Purpose is important. Without it, you can get involved in WAY too many enterprises and opportunities, wear yourself too thin, and eventually burn out. All Leos need ~big rocks~ to help them focus their precious energy and The Chariot invites you to prioritise your ~big rocks~ this September. Be bold, be daring, but be realistic. What do you have time, strength, and motivation to tackle?

The Moon asks you to meditate on this, as well as do your research. Really delve into the detail of what you need to do to achieve your ~big rocks~, understand them inside out. The Seven of Wands shows you’ll have competition and rivalry around your goals- that’s okay, that proves they’re worth pursuing. Get in the fight!

VIRGO

(Seven of Swords, Eight of Coins, The Devil)

Someone has been whispering negative things in your ear, as shown by the shady Seven of Swords, and it's infected your mo jo. Maybe they didn’t mean to bring you down, but that’s the net result of their presence and input. So, just take a little vacation from negative people; give yourself a break from it. The Devil asks you to stick to this, and not follow the easy path of least resistance (because you hate upsetting anyone) and carry on being influenced by people with less than wholesome intent.

The Eight of Coins asks you to refocus on the big projects, tasks, and roles you’ve got going on, and put your energy into that instead (just tell them you’re too busy). Work hard, push on, don’t give up, and keep to the path…. Beware the woods! Now is not the time to let yourself be led astray.

LIBRA

(Five of Cups, Ace of Wands, The Emperor)

A new beginning will sweep fresh energy into your world this September, with the magical Ace of Wands, and change the whole mood. Recently, you’ve felt a little sad, maybe regretful, or even fatigued. We all burn out now and again; it's just a sign we’re ready to release old ways and roles, and take on something fresh.

The Emperor sees you taking control here and activating that shift yourself, for yourself. The Ace of Wands hints at a new hobby, lifestyle routine or ritual, course or inspiring creative project. It’s time to get stuck into something which motivates and excites you, makes you feel alive and alert. Make this September a time to bring in something new and fascinating to your everyday life!

SCORPIO

(Five of Wands, Three of Coins, Three of Cups)

You’re right in the thick of it this September, Scorpio, and feeling like a lot of things are up in the air. The Five of Wands always brings choppy energy and sometimes stress or conflict, which act as signals telling you what needs to be addressed, or even released. Don’t ignore these signals. The Three of Coins reassures you that new opportunity lies ahead too. Someone is getting ready to make you an offer, a proposal, a promotion. Make sure you’re visible and positive in front of people with influence in your world.

The Three of Cups reminds you that life is short, we’re here for a good time not a long time, and to enjoy this ride - even when it’s choppy. Relax, have fun, mingle, treat yourself, enjoy good times with good people. This will all sort itself out.

SAGITTARIUS

(Death, Ace of Coins, The Star)

Powerful cards this September, Sagittarius, so expect major life developments (in a good way). Death and the Ace of Coins both signal change and transformation - lasting and significant shifts which will make your life feel like there was a ‘before’ and ‘after’. It’s likely to be related to positive improvements in money, work, home and / or health. Something you’ve been working on for a long time, which is soon to come to fruition and make everything feel different!

The Star is the tarot’s cosmic wish-come-true pass, so you’re going to fulfil a heart’s desire, make a dream come true. The higher you aim, the better the outcome. This is THE month to apply for that dream job, put in your application to move overseas, get that makeover or transformation, invest in your wellbeing 100%, or make that pitch! You could get so lucky.

CAPRICORN

(The Empress, Ten of Wands, Five of Coins)

Self love has never been more important or necessary in your world, Capricorn. The Five of Coins and Ten of Wands point to a difficult phase. Maybe you’ve been feeling down, lost, unhappy, or overwhelmed and confused. Too many demands and pressures, too many unknowns, too much ~weight~ on your shoulders. You work so hard, think so deeply, and have such ideals of perfectionism for yourself that it can all easily get too much.

The Empress sweeps in and demands that you are kinder to yourself. No pressure to be so perfect or ~right first time~. Reduce the workload and push back the deadlines. Streamline the duties and chores. Cut back on your ~to do list~. Less is more. Make space for deep rest, good food, long walks, time with friends, creative play, and exercise. Be kind to yourself, this mood will lift.

AQUARIUS

(Three of Swords, Six of Wands, The Sun)

In a weird way you will discover that one of the worst things that happened to you actually has a major silver lining, and you can now see it. The Three of Swords points to a wounding event in your past - a betrayal, bruising ending, backstabbing episode or cruel encounter. Someone was a dick, basically. However, you’re over it. The Six of Wands and The Sun combine to put this event centre stage again, and show you how it all happened for a reason.

It removed you from a toxic or negative place and has got you right here and now, and THIS is the right time and place for you. Recognise and applaud that. Thank your lucky stars you had such a swift and shocking experience because it forced you to take action, otherwise you might still be back there- unhappy.

PISCES

(Nine of Wands, Eight of Swords, Seven of Cups)

You need to tell yourself (and believe) that you CAN do it this September, Pisces. No more negative self talk, okay? The Nine of Wands is a big reassurance that you can handle the issues or obstacle ahead, quite easily actually, and once tackled, there will be smooth seas and plain sailing again.

The Eight of Swords and Seven of Cups show that the biggest problem, actually, is your own imagination. It tends to veer towards catastrophising and this just hampers your confidence and leads to paralysis. Put aside your fears and doubts and take action. Once you get the ball rolling, this will all start to collapse into a very easy puzzle that you can solve speedily. Just make a start.
