Selling Sunset's Chrishell Stause hits back at claims she isn't a real estate agent
Chrishell Stause from Selling Sunset has come under speculation from fans about whether she's actually a real estate agent.
In case you didn't know, the 39-year-old was a soap actress in the US before joining The Oppenheim Group, starring in the likes of Days Of Their Lives (side note: do you think she knew Joey Tribbiani!?) and The Young And The Restless.
Which has led some to question whether she was introduced to Selling Sunset in a bid to cause drama, and to stir up storylines in the estate agent group. "Chrishell is not a real estate agent. She’s an actress," one person wrote on Twitter. Another said, "I'm confused. When did Chrishell become a real estate agent?"
But Chrishell has since shut down any claims she's not actually qualified, taking to Instagram Stories to re-shared a 2016 Instagram post about her real estate business, Chrishell Realty, with a defiant message alongside it.
"Wanna know what I do when I'm not stirring up trouble in TV land?" the 2016 post read. "Let me know in the comments if you're in the market to buy or sell and need a super dedicated friendly realtor to help you OR refer you to someone in your area! @HGTV Here I come!"

She added on Stories, "People keep trying to hate on the show, which means it's a huge success! Lol!. This post is still on my IG proving I have been licensed and working before being approached about #SellingSunset.
"Working all day showing clients properties in the heat & writing up my new listing to hit the market tomorrow! Busy! Thanks for watching though."
The Oppenheim Group's owner Jason Oppenheim also clarified Chrishell's position in an interview with People. "Chrishell was a practicing agent at another brokerage, many years previous to filming Selling Sunset," he explained.
"Any insinuation that the agents on our show are not experienced, successful, or licensed, evidences a complete disregard for the facts. Even a superficial investigation would identify previous team photos, hundreds of millions in transacted sales, and more than 50 years of combined licensed real estate experience from these agents."
You tell 'em, Jason.
