  • Selling Sunset's Chrishell Stause and This Is Us actor Justin Hartley split last year.

  • Co-star Christine Quinn recently gave an interview where she discussed their break up.

It's not even airing right now, but Netflix's Selling Sunset is still the source of major drama. On Monday, Chrishell Stause hit out co-star Christine Quinn following comments she made about Chrishell's split from ex Justin Hartley.

Speaking to Page Six, Christine claimed the This Is Us actor and Chrishell had been seeing a relationship counsellor before they split. "We all just thought maybe they were having communication problems for a while," Christine said. "We heard that they were in therapy, so obviously there were some issues going on with them."

But firing back on Twitter, Chrishell called Christine's comments a "complete lie".

"I just learned Christine is giving press 'information' about my divorce. Let me be VERY clear. She knows absolutely nothing about the situation and is obviously desperate to gain attention by doing so," the reality star shared. "Anything from her is either a complete lie or total conjecture on her part."

Chrishell added that it's "so frustrating and unfortunate that someone would use someone’s personal painful situation to get press for themselves. I can’t say I am surprised, but please check the source. She has absolutely zero knowledge of the marriage we had."

It comes as Chrishell opened up about her divorce from the This Is Us star, saying the split left her feeling traumatised.

The third series of the Netflix original, which is due next month, will focus on the 38-year-old's divorce after two years from the actor - something which she wasn't expecting, and left her feeling blindsided.

"Unfortunately, I’m in a position where more has been shared that I would have ever chosen because this was not a choice that I made," Chrishell said on the RealiTea with Derek Z podcast, touching on how it was never her intention for the divorce to take centre stage.

"Nor was this the timing that I would have chosen while I was filming a show, so I’m already in a position where so much has been shared that I wouldn’t have opted for. It’s an embarrassing, humiliating type of thing to go through without cameras and without people judging you, so I just hope people are gentle when they watch."

Chrishell added, "We’re real people. This was a traumatising time in my life and it’s going to be hard for me to watch it myself."

News of Chrishell and Justin's divorice broke in November 2019 after two years of marriage, with People reporting at the time that he had cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce.
