Selling Sunset: Why is Christine Quinnnot in season 6?
Selling Sunset is back for season six, but The Oppenheim Group has had a little shakeup since we last saw them. ICYMI, Vanessa Villela has gone M.I.A - and hasn't even been mentioned in the new series - plus Maya Vander, who took to Instagram following her departure to explain her reason for quitting the show.
Another major player synonymous with the hit reality series is Christine Quinn. However, the 34-year-old is also another cast member who has decided not to return for round six.
So, what exactly happened to Christine and why is she nowhere to be seen? Here's EYNTK about her exit...
Where is Christine Quinn?
For the first five seasons of Selling Sunset, Christine made a huge impact on the show. From her ever-glamorous outfits to her drama-fuelled feuds, the real estate broker was also brimming with witty one-liners.
However, fans will remember that last August, Christine called it a day at The Oppenheim Group to launch her own brokerage, RealOpen, with her husband, Christian Dumontet. Which, of course, meant she'd no longer appear on the show.
Christine subsequently revealed that the husband and wife duo would be doing things differently in their organisation, including allowing clients to purchase property using cryptocurrency. Plus, launching their own credit scoring system, RealScore, for buyers and sellers who use crypto.
Naturally, viewers were left devastated that they wouldn't get to see her on the reg, but since leaving the show, she's made some major moves outside of the real estate industry too, including in the entertainment and fashion worlds...
After leaving Sunset, Christine released her first book: How to Be a Boss B*tch, "a modern guide to living a bold, authentic life." Following this, the 34-year-old broke into the fashion industry, and in 2022 walked the Balenciaga runway for Couture Week alongside major names like Kim Kardashian and Nicole Kidman.
Speaking to WWD after the event, Christine got candid about her plans for her future in fashion.
"I would love to be a creative director. In addition to that, I also love walking and runway modelling," she confessed.
"Right now I would love to collaborate with big brands and help be a creative director and then from there, I can gain experience and maybe launch my own fashion line."
Christine's aspirations don't stop there, though. When chatting with The Hollywood Reporter earlier this year, she revealed that acting is another skill she'd like to tick off her bucket list.
"I’m not saying I am Lady Gaga, but the fact that she can do these really big roles and pull it off, whether it’s American Horror Story or A Star Is Born, I want to do things like that."
Well, it looks as though it's going to be a busy year for Christine...
