Who might appear in Selling Sunset season 6?
While many of the show's usual cast members are expected to return for season six, real estate agent Maya Vander has confirmed that she's sadly leaving Selling Sunset.
The realtor shared the news with Page Six, telling the publication that she wants to focus on her work in Miami, rather than in LA where Selling Sunset is based. Maya also owns her own agency, The Maya Vander Group, which is based in Florida.
Discussing her departure from Selling Sunset, she explained "I decided to not execute my contract," adding, "I love the show, and it was great, but I’m excited to focus on the Miami real estate market."
Maya went on, "I want to focus on my family, and flying coast to coast is a lot. The show is great, and I love everyone, but looking forward to growing my business in South Florida."
One other future that isn't certain though is that of Christine Quinn, with Emma Hernan accusing her of sabotaging her listings in the final episodes of season five, leading to crisis talks amongst management about her future at the firm
Elsewhere, fans of the show can assume that most other recognisable faces will make an appearance in the next season. Those include Brett and Jason Oppenheim, Chrishell Stause, Mary Fitzgerald, Heather Rae El Moussa, Amanza Smith, Davina Potratz, Emma Hernan, Vanessa Villela and newcomer Chelsea Lazkani.
Oh, and there are new cast members! The first season six trailer revealed some new faces joining the cast, including someone called Nicole, and an estate agent called Bre. Wowww.
When was Selling Sunset season 6 confirmed?
US Weekly reported back in January 2022 that the show has been renewed for TWO more seasons - aka seasons 6 and 7! It follows what's happened in the past. Back in March 2021, Netflix did a double whammy and announced Selling Sunset would be back for both a fourth and fifth series, following the show's early success.
Production started in May of the same year, and seasons four and five were filmed back to back, which meant not only did we see the introduction of new agents Emma and Vanessa, but also Heather Rae Young's marriage to Tarek El Moussa and Chrishell and Jason's relationship.
What might happen in Selling Sunset season 6?
It depends on if/when the show starts filming, but fans will desperately be hoping to see the fall out from Chrishell and Jason's split, which went down in December 2021. Six months after the pair confirmed they were dating in July 2021 (as seen in season five), they called it quits, due to their differing views on starting a family.
"I have tried to embrace the world I have found myself in and that includes being open and honest about my relationships," Chrishell said at the time. "It felt scary and terrifying knowing that it may not end in what society deems a success and what I am ultimately looking for. But after many long heartfelt talks, I am choosing to see it as a success no matter what label is attached to it publicly." Since then, Chrishell has publicly shared her new relationship with singer G Flip, so the romance could potentially make an appearance.
Viewers will also likely see whether Christine Quinn has a future at The Oppenheim Group, and whether Chelsea, Vanessa and Emma can cement their places in the agency.
